ANSWERS
What
is the financial investment need for starting my own Cash Flow Management
Payment Services business?
An
investment to be a Cash Flow Management Processing Center is just $14,900. This includes
our 3-day, customized on-site training at your location as well as all training materials,
support and software. There are no other recurring, or yearly fees.
Return
to Questions
What type of computer hardware &
software is required?
Basically
a Windows 95 or 98 based Pentium system should suffice. You will also need a laser printer
and a special magnetic ink toner cartridge for printing the check drafts. Many
publications were created using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Publisher. We can provide
other formats to fit your current computer installation.
Return
to Questions
Are these check drafts legal?
Paper
bank drafts have been around for years. They are established as a legal method of payment
as provided in the Uniform Commercial Code sections of the Federal Reserve Bank Act. Only
verbal agreement is required for authorization.
Return
to Questions
I
thought banks offered this service. Are they the competition?
Most
banks offer electronic funds transfers (EFT) that are more suitable for the larger
customers with many transactions. It's not cost effective for a business to process EFT
transactions with smaller transaction quantities since the bank charges hidden fees. The
business is also required to purchase or lease banking software, as well as managing the
data sent to the bank. In addition, they have to enter, manage and transmit all of the
data.
Return
to Questions
Do I have to learn the technical jargon of
banking?
With
any new industry that you involve yourself in, there are always opportunities to learn
terms relative to that industry. Part of our 3-day, on-site training includes industry
competition and terminology. You do not need to have a banking or business background to
grasp these concepts.
Return
to Questions
Do I need any special license in my state?
There
is no license or special certification for paper check drafts to be processed through the
Federal Reserve Banking System. However, you might want to contact your county, city or
state regarding regulatory requirements in establishing a new business.
Return
to Questions
What types of businesses would use
Pre-authorized Check Drafting?
The
best type of business is one that does recurring billing, that is, billing the same amount
for the same customers each month or period. An example of a few are health clubs,
internet companies, insurance companies, tanning salons, bottled water rentals,
mini-warehouse rentals, property management, rent-to-own stores, utility companies, lawn
care, doctors, karate studios, etc.
These
are just a few of the potential prospects. Look through the yellow pages, and you'll
discover a tremendous amount of opportunity!
Return
to Questions
What types of businesses would use the
Automated Check Recovery service?
Basically,
any business that takes checks. Restaurants, cleaners, gas stations, convenience stores
receive tons of checks, and many are bad and need collecting. Think about the businesses
you personally patronize during your daily life. Most take checks, and many need a free
service to help them collect the ones that are bad.
